Nugget From Boi H1

Recommended Posts

This mornings H1 results from Bank of Ireland, this from the section on the UK business

"The impairment charge of £87 million on the Property and construction portfolio for the six month period ended 30 June 2010 has

reduced by £36 million compared to the impairment charge of £123 million for the six month period ended 30 June 2009. The

impairment charge on the investment property element of the Property and construction portfolio is impacted by the low levels of

economic activity particularly in Northern Ireland. The impairment charge on the land and development element of the Property and

construction portfolio is impacted by the decline in asset values and an over supply of residential housing stock in Northern Ireland."
