Blanchflower Is Not Happy

Recommended Posts

BBC News just interviewed David Blanchflower and he's not a happy bunny. He kept on pointedly saying "Osborne and Cameron" not "The Government". It was as though he's been well briefed by Labour HQ.

Nick the pinky will be very annoyed not getting a mention, after all he is the Government. :D

Blanchflower is an outright liar. I can't believe how much credence the press give this man. The last time I heard him on the BBC, he was going off on how Britain was the only country in Europe to announce planned reductions in deficit spending, even though Germany, Greece and Spain (at the very least) had already announced reductions in spending several weeks previously. I find it hard to believe (though not impossible) that he's so poorly informed as to have not heard these announcements, which only leaves the possibility that he was stating something which he knew to be false. (And his wife left him for another woman -- too funny.)

Ironic considering
Much of Blanchflower's work has focused on the economics of happiness
