quite an enlightening article - but at the end it says this about reduced housing benefits:

Like it or not, with no spare capacity in the system to take up the slack, the taxpayer will be forced to pick up the bill if these landlords disappear.

Boo hoo-the poor Rachmans. It will find it's level (rents and therefore capital values) and guess what-THEY WILL BE LOWER. Tuff sh!t says I.
