Shipbuilding and car manufacturing help spur UK's recovery

British manufacturers continued to drive the recovery in June despite a surprise fall in UK industrial production, according to official figures.

And despite a huge drop in sales of the cars they are manufacturing for people who can no longer afford them because they are losing jobs centre, right and left.

Anyone who thinks is not meant to understand. Its a headline to rally the sheeple to help them think more patriotically.

While manufacturing was actually down the "news" is that it is actually not.

So it's updown? Is that a new word?

Also, the figures are largely historical. I would be more interested to hear forward orders for shipbuilding. The slight up from last Oct to June is over. Wait for end Sept Qtr.

Yay! Selling cars to people who buy with debt thereby placing massive claims on their future income.

Yay! What a way to strengthen the economy!

Maybe this is a peak oil story?

The real headline should be "fcking hell, we're running out of oil!"

Quick, ask Gordon what we should do !!!

I wonder whatever happened to Gordon?

Still drawing an MPs salary but never shows up apparently. It would take a lot of humility to show up as an ordinary MP after being PM.
