Confused

I am just baffled re this house which was sold for 621 k last year, in need of renovation. Now it is under offer with asking price of 950k!! From the photos you can tell no work has been done on it since last year.

I'd have thunk it obvious - they've introduced a Dragon Tree, a beanbag & a glass table to the front room. I bet there's some twigs inna vase if you look hard, and a smell of coffee/bread

What more do you want ? The moon on a stick ?

edit:

I just love the way they've made a feature out of the way someone's nicked the original fireplace :)

Wonder what the offer is? Sometimes I wish I was Rip Van Winkle-wake me up when this insanity is over.

There must be something we don't know! It is either that or it won't gtepast a mortgage valuation - period.

Was it bought by an EA? I notice almost all the street is flats and maisonettes when this is a whole house.

....

If they add some polished pebbles in a designer dish then they could just clinch a sale.

Not great is it!

I doubt that "fantastically huge garden" actually gets much light by the look of it.

I would imagine the planning on the property has changed.

Very confusing!

How about this one (on for £699k):

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-16283688.html

Which I think is the same property as this one (sold 14/12/08 for £360k):

If the current owner manages to sell it for anything like the asking price it looks like they got a great deal!

27 acres. If they bought that and the house & other buildings for 360k in 2008 then they did indeed do well

OTOH 700k is very over-priced for that location. They've got no chance of getting anywhere near it.

edit: it's on with RRK. Say no more. That's an indicator of deluded expectation on its own :)
