Land Registry Figures

Recommended Posts

Apologies if this has been asked before, I did try a search:

People on this forum have mentioned how the Land Registry figures for actual sales price acheived lag behind.

I'm a little confused on this one, if a house completes on Jun 1st 2005 wouldn't it be part of the " Apr-Jun 2005" figures or for some reason does it appear in later fgures?

If so, what's the reason.

Yes a property sale completed on 1st June would be included in apr-june figures.

But as it takes over 2 months to sell a house (minimum), the price would have been agreed then - so you have a sales lag with this!

Also, the data is released about 5 weeks after the end of the period - which sux! So, by the time the figures come out its 'old' news (although it is the most accuarate, with it not being 'fudged')
