Yes, that comment is quite insightful.

If you can beat labour costs down so low you can make a $10 computer, poorer families can afford it so then in a few years they can improve their education and maybe get a job in the factory making the $5 computer. :rolleyes:

I don't believe it. 640x480 display panel can't be sourced for <$10.

Maybe it's kindle B&W type display? who said it has to be in colour?

I remember finding an old Psion from an ex girlfriend in my stuff I was throwing out. It kind of worked ok. (this is mid 1990s tech though).

There's no reason why a basic PC that's capable of web browsing and WiFi connectivity shouldn't be available for a tenner within 5 years.

Unless you want to run Windows on it :).
