It's Fallihg - Ftb's Do Not Buy!

Oh it so funny to see the bulls STILL ramping it all up. And yes, much of all this ramping over the last 5+ years has been massively ochestrated between the numerous [shady, in the background...] property "developers", "investors", etc. in concert with moneylenders and all PARTICULALRY using PR AGENCIES - THE EXPERTS at manipulating press & media reports AND TV prgrammes, "news Items" etc etc. - ALL TO ONE FOCUS & Message - "PROPERTY IS FAILSAFE" etc. etc. ALWAYS REMEMBER - MOST of what you read in the media and hear/see too -IT IS PUT THERE BY PR AGENCIES: THIS IS THEIR JOB, THIS IS WHY THEY MAKE SO MUCH MONEY!!!!

Having made a fortune out of duping naive 'investors' in the tech bubble some then went into buying property - ramping the market by issuing so-called independent housing market surveys in the popular press, and making approx 20% per annum - Obviously I can't mention any names, however if you investigate the backgrounds of the main figures who have been ramping property you will discover their backgrounds, and also discover that they are all linked in some way - thus the wonderfully coordinated timing of regular monthly press reports

A friend of mine (I keep giving him huge grief) is in junior partnership with a guy who has been in the property "game" for 40 years - and I have been watching them play for the past 5-7 years; they have been going right accross the UK buying up all sorts of properties - ALL OVER the UK - renting them out, doing them up, etc etc. - and over the last 10-18 months they have sold ALL OF THEM OFF!! The senior guy has seen it and done it ALL before - and he knew EXACTLY what he was doing - and he has made MILLIONS AND MILLIONS - he is a total expert - he saw the fall coming over 20 months ago, and started off-loading as of then. ALSO: he and other partners in this property "game" have been spending very big amounts on "publicity" & PR - via many PR Agencies - placing vast nunbers of articles, items, tv clips, and even backing at least 2 of the tv property programmes (on the quiet, behind various guises, via "associates"), feeding the entire media machine in all sorts of ways, many quite subtlely, talking the WHOLE thing up and up. Of course those who are half switched on could not have failed to notice the INCREDIBLE saturation of media hype on the property scene,....

Well guys & girls!!! - It is almost entirely rigged - the whole thing has been ochestrated by the vested interests - and, yes!, you can't deny it - they've achieved their aims -they've "done well" - many many of them - even the thickos like Krusty Allcrap & S Beeny types -- they have ALL made huge amounts of dosh on the back of this... and it is NOT a coincidence that large portions of the media - particulalry the "reporting"/news media have NOT talked property down -look at the BBC Website - it STILL reports things as "normal": WHY??? Because Producers and Editors etc - THEY ALL have fingures in ALL SORTS of pies!!!! You may not believe this - but it is the case.

Also, v large numbers of MP's - including MANY "New Labourites" - have been using their generous salaries and allowances to buy into the scam too -Large numbers if them own SEVERAL properties, particulalry in London & area - this is a story that I urge any aspiring investigative journalist out there to pursue....

SO - the REAL PROS out there have known all along that this is a game!!! - and have understood that it is, in effect, a MASSIVE Pyramid Selling Game/Scam -- i.e. Get in at the bottom - and sell out at the top - timing is crucial....

There is, however, a way the poor FTB's can keep fighting back; the poor FTB's who have been utterly USED by, in particular, their "friendly" banks and mortgage providers to feed this whole scam - by being led into the "dream" [etc.], like lambs to the slaughter - many of them persuaded to buy into the "market" at rip-off prices and feeding the "system" - acting effectively as the fall guys feeding hard earned money at vastly hyped up prices - feeding the rivulets and small streams - into the water supply further down - into streams, small rivers, large rivers,deltas, lakes, etc. etc. gorges, huge oceans etc etc. - which is where the ultimate winners in this "game" clean up at - HERE is where the players of the game clean up - take the money and run.

FTB's CAN fight back: They need to understand what has been going on - it isn't rocket science anyway!!!! - They simply ALL need to tell each other what is going on -- from college/university/job starter [etc.] levels upwards -- AND ALL REALIZE - THEY HAVE IMMENSE POWER: THEY ARE THE RAINFALL AND DROPLETS AND SMALL RIVULETS!!! THE WHOLE SYSTEM DEPENDS ON THEM!!! AND -- WELL, IT'S SO, SO SIMPLE!!! -- DO NOT BUY INTO THIS SCAM AT ALL: KEEP OUT: BRING IT ALL DOWN.. AND THINGS SHOW NOW - THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING OUT THERE!!!!!

JUST SAY: "WE WILL ONLY BUY AT THE SAME PRICE AS YOU DID MATE - SO, IF YOU SLASH 60% OFF THAT PRICE - TO NEAR WHAT YOU PAID -- THEN- AND ONLY THEN - WE WILL THINK ABOUT BUYING THAT PROPERTY!!!! ALL FTB's JUST NEED TO TELL THEIR MATES/COLLEGE FRIENDS ETC. - LOOK AT HPC - ALL GET TOGETHER VIA TEXT/EMAIL/THE WEB ETC. - AND SIMPLY LOOK AT WHAT HAS BEEN GOING ON!!!! IT IS A PYRAMID SELLING SCAM!!! THE BIGGEST EVER!!! -- DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE LEAD LIKE LAMBS TO THE SLAUGHTER!! JUST SAY NO!!! WE WILL NOT BE RIPPED OFF!

WHY SHOULD WE PAY £180k WHEN YOU BOUGHT IT 5 YEARS AGO FOR £60k??!!!!!!! NO!! - we MIGHT pay £65k - but that's it !!!!! That's all we are offering - because that is all we can afford - just like it was for you!! After all, Gordon Brown loves to boast how inflation has been a negligible "1-2%"!!! -- Well - that means we may pay a few hundred more that you paid 4 years ago!!! That is ALL it is worth!!!!

All FTB's out there - get out there and spread the word: You have the power. Use it. Fight back. REMEMBER: Only pay 3.5 x your salary. No more!! Just stick to this RIGIDLY. The market is falling - it's right on the edge - the VI's are REALLY REALLY scared........

I think we can safely say it isn't property.

I would love to believe what you say, and in some ways I do. I don't think all of this spreads through conscious thought. It's rather subliminal.

There are concepts in modern marketing whereby you attempt to identify a few key people who you need to be in possession of your product. Let's call them the hipsters. They exist in every segment of society, they are the few people who lead even though they don't know it.

Perhaps your VI friend has targeted a few of these and it snowballed from there.

Personally I think the Beeb crew and New Labourites are going to be victims in this - they are the ones left holding a few big babies right now.

Don't forget great emotions pushed prices up, great emotions are being displayed now that prices are heading down..

all very emotional..

but I did think myself that there was a good chance that the true investors left a while ago.

Totally agree with your point on the power of the consumer Eric, and if everyone was to do this (how hard is it to just offer 3.5 times your salary for gawd's sake?!!!) the market would rather quickly correct.However, despite the comments on another thread regarding HPC's regulars referring to 'sheeple' + wondering about the merits of HPC regulars following this herd (good point), I think we can't underestimate the sheeple effect.Why pay a reasonable sum when you can feel comfortable that you payed as much/not much more than your friends?I think this comes back to the credit culture also discussed on many many threads.People are now more than willing to throw themselves over the cliff into the sea of debt - or at least got caught up with the acceptability of this mentality.Gone are the days of saving and paying decent prices; lack of debt used to be a source of pride for most people.Now, the opposite is true.If you haven't got all the trappings of faux wealth (i.e. s**t loads of credit + debt), you mark yourself out as ... poor?!!!Bonkers. :blink:

Lovely sentiments in a well written post. It'll never work, despite your logic and rallying. People in general are too selfish to do this. Every transaction we make is part of a massive auction where the highest bidder wins. Worldwide.

Property owners and VIs get their message across 24/7 in the mainstream media.

NPOs (Non Property Owners) need their own media - I have always thought there was something missing from this web site and it is a call to action.

This needs to be relentless - sign your friends email addresses up for the housepricecrash weekly newsletter - organise mass emailings of MPs etc - I know a march is never going to happen - but, as I said on another thread, surely you would-be FTBs are just a wee bit pissed off.

Do nothing - and pay double what your elder brother paid for a flat?

Why are you buying into this nonsense? You can act by not acting - fine, don't buy anything. But, like the man said, why not offer what the vendor paid? Certainly wake a few people up. Why not be pro-active instead of inactive?

Days turn into months and years - you'll be 40 before you know where you are - still scrabbling around for a deposit for a studio flat.

There must be a million disaffected young people in London alone priced out of the market. It will only take a thousand of you to turn up in central London and sit down - the media will certainly be paying attention then.

How many BBC reporters and producers are BTL landlords? I bet the majority are - the chattering classes have all bought into it over the last 5 years. They have priced you out and own the media that keeps you quiet.

And yet lots of you on here think it will all turn out fine if you just do nothing. Look at Fathers for Justice - any of you got the bottle to emulate that? 20 determined people could make a massive difference.

Theres usually a damn good reason why a parent isn't given any access (not even supervised) to their child. I'd like to know the reasons these Fathers were denied that access. They keep that pretty quiet.

In some cases the men are given access (by the courts) but refused by their former spouse. The courts will not enforce their right to access & it goes on from there.

I hate to get into this argument and away from the original (thought-provoking) point, but are you a female divorcee by any chance?Maybe not all the Fathers For Justice blokes are squeaky clean, but notice how the tabloids tried to discredit as many members as possible? I know several men who have been denied access to their children for over a year while the courts decided their fate, simply because the ex was bitter about the split.They used ANY excuse possible to stall for time.The children will find out the truth in time though, as there are plenty of observers (family and friends) willing to corroborate the true story.Woe betide any women doing this.I think Fathers For Justice is, in principle, a great organisation.Fathers had nothing before this.Would you prefer women to get automatic custody?Not all women are perfect either.

Back to the original issue.Absolutely agree with Marina's sentiments, following Eric's earlier points.Yes, there may be apathy around in our society, but people can only take so much.The more of us that say b******s to this daft situation, the better.

A month ago they dropped it to £116,950 and today I saw it down to £109,950. Also, now there's loads of property to chose from at around that price - so has to fall again to stand out from the crowd. Very, very few properties are STC.

Over the past 8 months I can confirm this is true.

What's interesting is the disparity in people's pricing!!! It's all over the fri99ing place!! Some absolutely cr@p terraces are on at the same as better 2-beds with parking, and some of those are on for the same as vastly better 2/3beds with gardens.

Also, new-build properties in scummiesville asking for the same or more as reasonable properties in upmarket areas. New build flats with £1000/year maintenance fees for same asking as terraces with small gardens and NO yearly fees!

Something has got to happen. It's all over the shop. I guess sellers just don't do any research?

Hahaha...no. I've been married for 13 years now. But yes I am female. :)

Edit: Yes, I understand only too well that not all women a good parents. Both from personal experience and through a past job, where I was involved in removing a child from the care of it's Mother. Hence I know there usually reason for a parent not having access.

Anyway..as you were.

I’ve noticed that while individual houses fall in price over time, the average price of those type of houses can actually increase, or at least fall more slowly, because it’s the price of those houses that replace the ones taken off the market that drives HPI. Also, as buyers are automatically going for a 5-10% discount, it seems that the sellers are now automatically compensating with higher asking prices! I agree with megaflop’s comments about prices being all over the place - probably something to do with a rash of 'sold' boards in July/Aug ...

Well, I don't think I'd go through with flinging a condom full of purple powder at Tony Blair whilst he's speaking in the House of Commons in order to make a protest about house prices.

Just one thing: if you have specific evidence that BTL investors and other speculators have really "sponsored" or "subsidised" media hype then for goodness sake reveal the sources and details, or at least enable this to be followed up. If this is not possible it could backfire on you to mention this but not have totally solid evidence. If you have the evidence then please publish it. That will do more than a million posts.

Regardless of the truth of this, would you reveal details about someone who is so powerful that they have been responsible for manipulating the UK housing market for the past 5 years?

Mr Pebble would end up back where his name suggests he came from - at the bottom of the river.
