Statists Demand To See Your Papers Before Allowing You

Recommended Posts

It's to protect the children you see. If you don't agree you must be a paedo with something to hide, right? Oh there is some talk of fines and other bat $hit thinking.

The Labour MP, Geraint Davies - whose motion is being debated on Wednesday - said he wanted an end to anonymity for pre-paid credit cards.

He said as long as the users of the cards remained anonymous the credit card firms were "complicit" in the viewing of child pornography.

Forty MPs have so far backed his call.

Mr Davies told BBC Radio 4's Today: "The major abuse now in terms of use of credit cards for downloading child pornography is through pre-paid credit cards, which you can pick up for around £100 a time at your local shop or service station.

"They're completely anonymous, you can register as Donald Duck at Buckingham Palace, and then use these, through a password or directly, to download abusive images."

The Swansea West MP said the identity of the person who owned a pre-paid card should be known.

He said: "This is the means of thousands of perverts viewing abusive pictures and we need to stop that. One way to do that is to identify them, and if the credit card companies facilitate this abuse they should also be penalised.

"The number of users and addicts is growing over time and it's fuelled by financial transactions. This bill is about trying to attack the basis of those financial actions and basically stop the anonymity of the people who are trading."

Mr Davies will put the case for his Ten minute rule Motion - a type of motion designed to highlight an issue rather than having any realistic chance of becoming law - on Wednesday afternoon.

Is there any proof to back up Mr Davies claims that thousands of perverts are doing this? How many and out of how many pre paid card users? 10%, 1%,0.5%, 0.1%, 0.01%, 0.001%?

Is there any evidence that anyone has ever purchase kiddie porn with a prepaid card? It slightly amazes me that these "sites" would have a shopping cart setup and a merchant account. Also what about Paypal? What next? Banning payg mobile phones to prevent terrorism (or downloading of kiddie porn). Its of some concern that MP's are so out of touch and can invent these pointless and ill considered knee jerk proposals.Gotta be a wind up!

Presumably if you down load such things they can see which ip address downloaded it. More BS from the psychopathic Labour party.

Unless of course you did something sneaky like finding someone else's unsecured wireless network and downloaded your filthy porn / terrorist training manuals / etc using that onto your laptop!

I never knew you had to pay for terrorist training manuals. What will they think of next.

This is ********. There are numerous ways to counter the transmission of undesirable video and audio objects and it doesn't involve requiring the details of the owner's credit card. If there was any evidence to suggest that people have been using prepaid cards to buy porn, why haven't they prosecuted anybody for it yet?

The agenda of more and more surveillance and scrutiny by big brother was the raison d'etre of the new labia psychos. They are up to their old tricks again. I wonder who stands to gain from knowing the identity of the people who buy prepaid cards using cash obtained from selling drugs?????

Thank God Liebour have gone .... they used fear to get their laws implemented! The Gary Glitter types will always find a way around the system, just like credit card fraudsters do!

If you don't support him, then you are a terrorist paedophile rapist woman-beater!

Interesting Indian spin on this method.

When fuzz over there want to find someone they suggest that in addition to crimeX said criminal also stole from the temple.

Every person on the continent is then looking for said criminal <_<

Talking of credit cards, went to Makro over the weekend and was told they are now charging 1.5% extra if you pay by credit card. Gave him cash, which he didnt seem that happy about. Seems they like debit cards.

Now Barclaycard has stopped giving me my share of their take, I might start paying for everything in cash.

Absolutely farcical.

Why not have a legal requirement to register before buying a computer mouse. 99% of kiddie porn viewers surely use one, making anybody selling one complicit in this filth.

How about needing a licence to buy clothing? When did you last see anyone naked commit murder on a Shipman-esque scale? Exactly.

I blame part-time jobs. Not only do they give you money that is obviously spent on kiddie-porn they also leave plenty of time to view such material. Sack the perverts!
