wild card Posted July 19, 2010 Share Posted July 19, 2010 Off topic request, I have an elderly relative staying with me at the minute. She has terminal cancer and all treatment has stopped. She would like to spend some time up around the Bushmills area. Unfortuantly I cant afford a holiday let for a month or two so have been phoneing letting agents to try and rent a house or apartment on a month by month basis with no luck. Does anybody on here know of such a house or own a property that would do? Rent could be paid in advance if needed and a credit check would be fine. The problem is EAs will want a months rent as a fee, and this restricts the minimum amount of amount of time LLs are prepared to offer short contracts for. They don't even charge 50% for a 6 month contract, you just end up paying double for a 6 month contract that the tenants do not continue.
