Vince Cable Speaks..."another Housing Bubble...

Recommended Posts

No more boom and bust in housing? Ha, Vince could just be another liar.

Harm only comes to those who don't seet the bubble bursting.

The current bubble hasn't burst, so there can't be another housing bubble.

Of course there can! Have you never seen bubbles forming on other bubbles and cascading?

I think Vince (among others) would love to talk it down without having to do anything too drastic. If he succeeds then great. If not ... well, hopefully incremental measures (like the reforms to housing benefit and mortgage regulation) will keep coming until we have sanity.

He was very strong on this in his book "The Storm" - also on the whole banking disaster, peak oil, and China.

The question is whether he can translate his economic analysis into policies.
