New Home In Stevenage

Recommended Posts

Just been looking at 3 bed houses in Stevenage to see what prices are doing...

There's lots of price drops*, mostly unchanged prices, and a few that've been increased.

One that stood out was this New Home...

Here's the PropertyBee history.

03 February 2010 18:17:57

* Price changed: from '£224,995' to '£239,995

09 March 2010 19:30:49

WHAT'S THAT ALL ABOUT!?!? The asking price has been increased by 15.5% in just over 5 months! :blink:

* 64 out of 217 have been dropped by, between 0.8% and 12.9%. Gotta laugh at one up for £312k...they dropped it to £309k. WOO, what a saving!!

The sellers have read the headlines and are getting ready for a 25% crash. So they think if they up the asking price by 25% before the year is out, when prices fall by said amount they will end up getting what they were originally asking for their dump.

Like jacking up the prices just before summer sales to bring them down to their original prices during the sales...

Are sure it's the same house? Quite often developers use the same show house picture and listing to Market various different houses on the same development. Hence the prices jumps all over the place as the switch it.

Well that's the Property Bee history for that property...So I assume it's the same house. :unsure:

Sometimes they use the same listing for various houses on a development. Maybe it saves listing fees.

Hmmm...perhaps.

Looking at some others (non-new homes)

There's one that's been on the market less than a week that's been increased by 10k (5.5%). Another that's been on over 7 weeks, increased by 12k (4.2%)...

Are people muppets, greedy or misinformed? (probably ALL! lol)
