Whisky & Property To Save Pensions

Recommended Posts

http://uk.reuters.com/article/idUKTRE66E2K220100715

Looks like some companies are getting desperate to fund the pension shortfall. I mean what could have gone wrong predicting 8% returns forever when you are at a market peak.

Any thoughts about whether this is a good move, a desperate gamble or the next stage in the death ride of financial assets?

Johnnie Walker to see you through old age

What an awful thought.

Might be good in an emergency if one runs out of petrol for the mower, but Jesus who wants to drink that stuff?

Yes, real Irish whiskey is much healthier.

JM&J, this is getting worse!!!!

In a recent spontaneous blind test between Jamesons & ALDI's cheapest (called 'Statesman' over here), guess which came out top unanimously?

Maybe the Jameson's dumped on us in Portugal isn't the real deal?

The article said it was Diageo who was going this route and I think Johnnie Walker is their biggest seller. Anyway if companies are doing this what should the proles do? Just drink three-quarters of the bottle and put the rest in the safe I guess.

Irish is triple distilled and tastes rougher, but it's good medicine - uisgebeath. Scotch is double distilled and blended to make it palatable to effeminate Londoners and the Japanese.
