Recommended Posts

The previous government held on for three years, in refusing to release a report suggesting that Alcohol & Tobacco should be classified alongside other "controlled" drugs..

They are controlled though.

You have to be licensed to sell them and over a certain age, and in the case of alcohol not already intoxicated, in order to buy them.

And they are heavily taxed; pretty much the situation many want for cannabis.

I estimate its a £100m wk turnover minimum in the UK

legalised it becomes seperated from A class drugs by eliminating street dealers in cannabis

legalised outlets can control the level of THC in its products

I've been toking for 30 yrs and non superskunk varieties are fine by me

court /prison/police/social costs reduced massively

approx 3-5 million people are no longer considered criminals by the state

a sense of freedom/ liberalism bestowed on the people

jobs created in the growing and selling

lots of taxes raised

tourism up (the Dam effect) bringing in foreign currencies

the problem is in the 1st sentence

thats £100m turnover currently in the hands of some righty dodgy geezers innit

If the Govt ever grow some bolloks and launch a takeover bid

we could all be quids in

time to grow some balls Dave

There's a lot of uneducated prejudice about cannabis, so much in fact that our governments still make criminals out of people who enjoy the safest intoxicant there is.

Love ?

That kind of romantic comment might impress the HPC ladies, but I'm not in the slightest bit interested.

No matter how Roxy Music might twist the truth, love is not a drug.

Tobacco, im not surprised at.

But alcohol?

These leftists simply cannot accept that some people are simply 'bad apples' can they?

Why tobacco and not alcohol? I'm well aware of the arguments about second hand smoke etc., but is that as harmful as being glassed in the face by the local pisshead for looking at him for a microsecond??

It was bound to happen one whiff of power and Central Office becomes the central state. Damned socialists always trying to control everything you do.
