Business Savings Accounts

Recommended Posts

I thought personal savings interest rates were pretty bad. Business savings however are absolutely taking the p*ss - 1.2% for a years bond with Barclays and almost the same for HSBC. For the interest on £30K I can't even be bothered to fill in the forms.

Any suggestions how I can get a rate of return that isn't an insult?!

Go for HSBC regular saver (if you have spouse etc - double that) - pays 8%.

If you can be bothered, shop around for regular saver to save up the money. Easy access around 3% available I think - go to Martin Lewis Money saving site and regular update is available (clean accounts with no funny terms)

Needs to be a business account, i.e. limited company

You can't. Basically. Been there done that etc. Just be glad you're getting 1% - that's all I got when interest rates were 5%.

Cue the tax avoidance crew's entrance...
