IMF Lowers U.K. Economic Outlook as Budget Spending Cuts Threaten Growth
By Fergal O’Brien - Jul 8, 2010
The International Monetary Fund lowered its forecast for U.K. economic growth as planned government budget cuts threaten to pull the economy back into a recession.

If true, it might dent the government's plans to keep HPI on track.

what plans?

IIRC Guardian or Indy yesterday. HPI is part of their model for recovery.

I would imagine the moderate increase in CGT was part of the plan. MPs are heavily invested in property and have a lust for houses as we all know. TB was a shining example of a political VI in HPI.

Interestingly, just caught the nice Chinese lady on Doomberg reporting the forecasts of the World economy ( gains) as being the best for years.

so a forecast is the good news? and a revised better forecast is great news....Its hard to explain this...but Im sure you understand what it means....
