Bank Of England Turns A Profit On Gilts

Recommended Posts

Closely follows the FED also making a profit a while back:

Surely they haven't made a penny till they sell up.

What effect would selling two hundred billion pounds worth of gilts have on the price?

Probably sell at a loss in the end.

I think I'll buy loads of a certain stuff on ebay therefore pushing the price up.

All the stuff I own will then be worth more than I paid.

Guaranteed to make a "profit".

I hate this 'hypothetical' profits

like with the bank shares this type of spending the money before its in the pocket is the thinking thats got us in the shit in the first place.

This house is worth 450k i am sitting on 350k profit! I dont want to accept 250k as i would be loosing all this profit that I earned.

Its only a profit turned once you have sold and like China with dollars you cannot sell up otherwise you screw it all up.
