Ok, if you're like me you like to cook something a bit nicer than the usual weekly stuff when it gets to the weekend. Here are my thoughts for tonight:

Jamie Oliver's broccoli salad

That and a nice bit of steak...low carb, easy to prepare and delicious.

Tonight she is cooking but last night it was,

4 pork chops and a rabbit lightly browned in virgin olive oil and slow(ish) cooked in a cast iron pot with 3 tins of tinned tomatoes, two big glasses of Merlot, new potatoes (parboiled), carrot, onion, mushrooms, haricot, peas, 1/2 of 1 green pepper and lentils and I forgot the garlic.

I like that kind of tucka.

Fish Cakes:

Two small to medium frozen cod fillets ( or white fish of your choice).

Tin of red salmon.

Mashed potato.

Dried dill.

Lemon juice.

Cayenne pepper.

Stale bread crumbs.

Cook fish in microwave, break up and mix with salmon, bind together with mashed potato 1/3 potato to fish max 1/2. Add dill, lemon and cayenne salt and pepper to taste. Make into rounds and roll in breadcrumbs. Flatten slightly and fry in a small amount of olive oil, turning once. :)

What's that in the blue box in front of the custard? Pork scratchings?

Bacon, custard and broccolli? Mmmmmmm.... all you need's some raw liver and you'll be all set.

To be honest, I'd expect you to cover the lot in batter and stick it in a deep fat fryer.
