Requesting On-Line Votes For Causes

Recommended Posts

Guest X-QUORK

We've had a couple of threads requesting support for various causes recently. A worthy thing I'm sure, but given that there are endless different good causes, will we end becoming flooded with these requests on OT if this trend increases?

Personally, I'm not keen on the idea, it feels like online chugging and mild emotional blackmail.

Let's discuss.

Tricky.

The DU weapons issue is a very worthy cause IMO, can't remember what the other one was.

We get enough crap threads, does it really matter if there are one or two asking for support?

How about limiting posters to one such thread per month?

Very difficult to moderate I imagine, but a reasonable idea.
