Ok, a bit of fun for the competetive amongst you:

How many replies have you had to your last ten threads (that you've started)?

I've had 583, or 58.3 per thread.

To quote the delightful Delia Smith: "Lez be 'avin you!"

I urge you not to reply to this thread.

Is there an easy way to find them? My profile bit only shows the last 5. Barring one moderately successful one, mine don't generally get many replies anyway, so I might just make a number up instead.

Aha - I've found someone who's beaten me. Rolf has 730.

Unsurprising as most of Rolfs threads have a popular OT theme to them or are otherwise controversial. Sex with aliens, Nurses are overpaid cleaners, Willo the Wisp intruders, that kind of thing.

I'm sure that a talented girl like you can do better! ;)

There's a menu on the left hand side of your profile page - select "find threads" and it will list all of your threads. Since I'm good at data entry and already have an excel file open I've done it for you - 278.

Aha just as I thought - not many. Thanks for your forum-smithery though.

I think to make this more of a contest you have to have some rules such as not shamelessly bumping or posting in your own thread. See if your thread can survive on its own. For example my "after life" thread has had 39 replies (thats pretty popular for me, and quite respectable for OT I think) but its now in 3 places from the bottom, and of course once it goes to page 2 its effectively "dead."

Do I win a prize for being OT's most incessantly boring loser of all time?

The prize is that you now have access to the main forum. Where you can discover hundreds of new ways to die that you never knew existed.

I'd done something similar, but as a scattergram. Some very interesting results.

I shan't bother posting it now as it's lost its impact.

I'd like to see the scattergram,

My reply rate there is about 2 .....

I've actually just realised what a massive, boring, tw@t I am.

I could be in the lead

I don't think I understand your chart...

I can see there's a formula, and perhaps that formula gives me a value of one... but what does that have to do with anything?

It's pointless, I just put it in to look scientifical The graph just shows how many times you posted in this thread.

You also need to take into account "Views" You can't entirely measure popularity by replies but have to take into account views too.For instance one of my threads only got 10 replies but got 950 views. Thats 95 views/post . "After Life" thread only scores 19 views/post...
