Legal Trust

Recommended Posts

I wonder if any legal person out there can help with this without me having to go and see a solicitor.

I'm a member of a club and there is a Trust that was set up to legally own the land upon which the club needs to function. Unfortunately there has been quite a breakdown in (pardon the expression) trust between the members and Trustees with the Trustees totally ignoring member's views and pressing on regardless.

In the Trust document it states that the Trust "shall" meet at least twice in a calendar year. It turns out though that since the Trust was formed 20 years ago there have been many periods when that rule has not been adhered to.

Can anyone advise if there could be consequences for this breach of the Trust agreement and whether it strengthens the members powers?

Nothing strengthens a member's powers like Viagra.
