SNACR
This sounds very familiar. Been teaching 10 years. Started off a brilliant job. Now it's shit. I blame the Tories and their atrocious governance of the country other the last decade.
Guest Mrs Bradley
Yes, heard this before. I forget the stats now, but those that retired at 55, XX% made it 80, whereas those that retired at 65 some tiny fraction of XX% lived to 80. Worthy of a bit of research. Already been done, hon. - gee I'm a poet! Prof. Grant at ManU. did that very research into stress, teaching and retirement, around 1985 or 86, IIRC. His research findings: that teachers who retired at 65 would not make 70, those who retired at 60 would and those who retired at 55 would make it to 75+ Ergo the younger you retire, the longer you have in retirement. Sibley's Love Child
Or they had a different experience to you. At school I lost my virginity (yes AT school), first got very drunk (yes AT school), smoked weed (not AT school but during school hours), played footy for hours a day, swapped porn, cried with laughter at least 5 times a week .... school discos, school trips, girls, girls, sleeping rough, girls, parties, girls ..... bloomin' great! Quite, I made the schoolboy error of applying my own subjective experience to others'. To be honest, I was maladroit when it came to the fairer sex; in fact, I didn't lose the proverbial till I was late teens (the less said the better). Mind you, I did smoke my first spliff at school although threw a lovely ****** in double English. Once I got to Uni I found I actually enjoyed education; no doubt because of the absence of regimen. And you sir, are a ne'er-do-well; honestly, sex at school?
