Radio 4 Debt Programme

Recommended Posts

"We track what we call 'extreme debt', that is, people who come to us with more than 16 credit cards and owing more than £100,000.

"The proportion of them coming to us has increased from 1.5% last year to 2.5% in the first six months of this year, so that's a very rapid rise."

Well at least that's a genuine increase in something. I guess we'll be seeing the fallout from our 'Anglo-Saxon model' economy, (that's the free-for-all economy where absolutely anything goes as long as someone somewhere makes a profit and balls to the consequences) for quite some time and it's not going to be very.....uh...nice.

I also listened to this radio program, the guy was buying a new car every 2 years

abd telling his wife it was a company car.

Without being to harsh, they deserve everything comig to them. (I also liked the bit about the loan companys being relentless in thier phone calls)

Guest Charlie The Tramp

I remember just prior to the millenium reading in the local church magazine an editorial by the vicar headed

What Will The New Millenium Bring

and why we should be full of hope for the future..............

He did not mention debt.
