Britney's Piers

Hypocrite Diane Abbott

Recommended Posts

This quote was revealing:

"But when it came to having to make a very difficult decision for my son, I had to choose between him and my career and I chose my son. For me, of West Indian origin, that was a no-brainer."

Apparently being a politician is simply a career choice and not about fighting for principles any more.

All that "Jamaican mother" stuff is hiding behind her "race" and "culture" - playing the card. It's patronizing, dumb and illogical. If someone pointed out that she only did something indefensible because of her race or culture, they would be accused of you know what.

"Yeah, well it's alright she's a hypocrite, she's Jamaican, innit?"

("Oh and by the way, I don't socialise with Portillo.")

She'll say anything to advance her career it seems.

I'd do the same thing if in her shoes.

Advocate dumbed-down, under-resourced state schooling for everyone else's kids, whilst making sure yours mixed with the 'cream of the crop'?

This " black boys underachieve" excuse. She needs to update her research. White boys are underachieving now.

http://www.telegraph...says-study.html

Although she is the kind of 2-faced cow that would call someone racist for saying that.dry.gif

Fancy Diane cherry-picking research findings. It isn't like her at all to be so biased.rolleyes.gif

I still reckon that if one becomes an MP with all that entails, they should be made to buy into the state system:

Basic housing in their constituency

State schools for their kids

Public transport

They are public servants aren't they? At least that is what they keep telling us.huh.gif

I think she is absolutely perfect for the leadership.

Labour's entire philosophy is to lecture everyone about how evil they are, meddle, interfere, molest, control whilst having no intentions what-so-ever of taking their own medicine.

Her excuses are offensive and emblematic of Labour's acknowledgement that their policies are, ultimately, about making sure everyone gets poor services (except their own kids). They realise it isn't feasible for everyone to get a first class education, so are content as long as most people get a shit one, it's fair .... except for their own kids.

Mao Zhedong even though he was an evil monster who killed millions of people had more principles than this woman.

He sent his son to the front lines in Korea in 1950 he was killed.

His other disabled son was 'purged' in the cultural revolution.

He also has a string of illigitimate children and daughters

ANd their children should be sent to the front lines of any war we are engaged in with the exact same equipment as the regular infantry.

Yes. Unlike the Blairs, who endorsed the house-price ramping by 'investing' in flats, one of which was to house their lad whilst at Uni., and who jumped on the ethnic bandwagon , when Cherie " defended"rolleyes.gif Shabina Begum's right to please herself about her school uni. - for the paltry sum of 50K - a showcase trial if ever there was.

A sum of 50K paid her by the Children's Society, a subsidiary of the NSPCC.

S'funny how they don't show spoiled ethnic teenagers crying over not being able to wear their favourite dress in their ads.dry.gif THEY are all about REALLY abused children.

I shudder to think what other footling uses these charitable funds are put to. My old auntie - bless her - used to always donate to them.

How many more times do the real salt-of-the-earth people of this country get betrayed by indifference, negligence or just plain ole' greed.mad.gif

Bloody well said. If there's one thing that gets on my wick, it's Labour politicians sending their kids to private schools. It's pure hypocrisy.

You white people don't understand what it's like not to want to send your kids to the local school. My son can't mix with working-class scum! Yours, however, should, because you are white, and white people are all middle-class.

Don't worry - let me have your place in the line and I'll happily step up to the plate. As a female I think that crew bring the rest of us a bad name - and I can smack them without being called a mysoginistic wife beater

Abbott is a perfect illustration of why "the left" is no longer the left.

I thought one of the fundamental principles of the left was equality between citizens: moreover, political equality and equality of opportunity. These left-wingers (and Abbott believes she is on the left of her party) behave more like aristocratic Victorian Conservatives than anything else: "I have to send my son to public school because otherwise he might mix with the lower classes."

It is utterly repugnant. I wouldn't mind if she supported assisted places, or fought hard to on state school reform, or fought for Saturday schools for G&T, but she doesn't.

And on This Week a couple of weeks ago, she positively bristled when Neill reminded the audience she had been a grammar school girl and gone to Oxbridge.

It's not just hypocrisy that Abbott displays, it is the anti-thesis to everything the Labour movement fought against -- namely, social and political privilege by default of parental standing.

I think real (old) Labour people never grasped that their party had been hijacked, a long, long time ago.

There is no Labour Party, hasn't been since . . . where's happy?, I'm pretty sure he'll agree.

+1

Say what you like about the Royal Family but at least their offspring do serve in the forces.
