Nhs Cuts: The Reality

Recommended Posts

This is how cuts affect people at the lower end of the NHS feeding chain:

At the other end, Chief Executives and others enjoy a car deal that the private sector would envy.

Foundation Trust CEO's have salaries greater than the Secretary of State for Health. They are only accountable to their own tame Boards. Intervention only happens when the Trust goes financialy bottom up.

The Sunday Times have run a story 'NHS chiefs hold on to luxury cars'. (Unfortunately, I cannot supply a Link)

As an example, David Dalton Chief Executive of Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, has a BMW 525d SE Saloon leased to him at £8,584 a year, all paid by the Trust.

These are not Public Servants. They are a management oligarchy beyond the taxpayers control and beyond ordinary people's realities.

Until we introduce a wage cap in the public sector the pigs will continue to feed from the troughs

I don't think a cap is enough - a cut is needed like Eire has done.
