Proof That We're In A Double-Dip Recession

Recommended Posts

Go to 24 minutes in, when Frankie Boyle is introduced.

At 24 minutes, 18 seconds in, Jonathan is apologising for only having "Heros" chocolates on offer in the green room and he says "If you hadn't noticed Frankie, we're in the middle of a recession". To which Frankie replies "...and you're trying to set the tone?"

Proof, I think you'll agree, that even our £6-million-a-year superstars know somnething is up.

Perhaps he has realised, in negotiations to work elsewhere, that apart from the BBC no other Channel can offer him anywhere near what he as been paid by the BBC?

Although it would not surprise me to hear that the financially in the doodoo Channel 4, wanting some of the licence fee, end up paying him millions.

The myth of "If the we (the BBC) do not pay for talent they will go elsewhere" should be one of the things this coalition Govt destroys.

I'm just surprised that somebody on here watches Jonathan Ross. He produces lightweight stuff for the easily pleased.

Though I have heard good things about his radio show, to add a smidgen of balance. Not enough to listen to it however.

I'm quite versatile. I can tune in and drop out, or get worked up over "the issues". One goes hand in hand with the other, I find.

I like re-runs of The Professionals and Top Gear. I'm not very highbrow.
