over the years on average, you'd normally get as many members reading as guests.of late I've noticed a lot more guests it seems to me in comparison to the amount of members signed in.sometimes, three times as many.

Register, get involved, share knowledge and learn.this place, the members and the links have taught me so much.

don't be shy.

Trouble with guests is, you can't distinguish the one-off visitor, the regular lurker, the not-logged-in member, or the thought police watching the malcontents.

Cheers Bloo Loo and Tired of Waiting

Reading this forum has certainly opened my eyes, and I must admit I may have been tempted to buy during the bull trap if I hadn't known better. The thing that made me look for the HPC website in the first place was when I realised that I would never have a hope of buying my parents home, or any on the street they live in, in what can only be described as an average area, despite the fact that I earn above national average (and most likely local) wages. The other thing that always used to puzzle me was the cars I would see on the motorway on my commute to work.... the average car is a BMW or Audi, whereas 15 or so years ago the average would be a Ford Escort - where did all this extra money to afford this suddenly come from???

:)

And you are sensible too! Really welcome now - not that I hadn't meant it before, it is just that I had an "open mind" about you (it could be another lunatic after all ;) )

Willingless to take on debt? I know several people who run Audis / BMWs but are in low-paid jobs and council houses (I'm not being sniffy about council houses, but they don't usually go with vast wealth) and this is because they are happy to pay the interest on a permanent £8k - £10k car loan.

Yes, this is the only forum that doesn't remember my log-in. Can't remember if it was that forgetful prior to the last upgrade.
