Is This The Answer To The Euro Problems?

Recommended Posts

Is this the plan that could be to integrate Portugal, Spain, Italy and Greece in the Mediterranean zone along with Turkey,Egypt, Libya, Algiers and Morocco.

These country would have to quit the Euro zone naturally and could be helped by US banks directly, acting upon the hedge funds and rapace funds with threats coming from the white house.

The Euro land would then integrate northern European and pro American countries.

France would join the Mediterranean zone, as England would join the Euro land in company with Germany.

could this be their the way out?

The Southern Europeans hate being compared to each other. Every Italian will tell you why they are nothing like the Spaniards or the Greeks. They will not agree to a union with the other bunch of slackers. They only joined the Euro because of the probity of the North Europeans. What is apparent is, that in their quest for unity, the Northern Europeans made a mistake. They have been taken for a ride by their Southern neighbours. The solution is a Northern currency surrounded by the weak currencies of the banana republics.

I am not sure that North and South is even the best way to delimit. It seems to me to be more those of protestant heritage and those of catholic.

I have a good idea. How about having each member of the EU set up their own currencies to take into account the differences in each economy thereby allowing freedom to adjust IR, money supply etc according to each nation's needs. Hang on........................

Don't you think you've just unwittingly designed a new North-South divide. If you don't trust the Greek accounting, wait 'til you see Libya's.

The Greeks would then get to know how the Germans feel.

Why stop there? Why not say give Scotland and Wales their own currencies so they can take control of their local economies? It's got to be better than having some central government try to control things through handouts.
