Lower Morden In Sw London

thinking of buying in this area. can anybody let me know about the potential of this area. it seems quiet cheap. how is the living there. thanks for any advice.

its a bit chav IMHO.

the area around Morden is mostly St Helier style homes which I don't particularly like the look of. The further south from Morden you go (towards Sutton) it gets gradually worse, its a popular area with white working class families so you get alot of teenage gangs hanging about.

there was an article in the Standard a week or so ago about a guy who lost his eye when he was attacked by a gang of youths in Morden. Obviously this could happen anywhere in London but it does seem an area with a large amount of 'hoodies'.

On the plus side Morden Hall Park is very nice and has a cool garden center and aquatic shop ;-)

As with most places in London if its cheap there is a reason!
