Student Loan Not Inconsiderable

Recommended Posts

Got a letter yesterday detailing the interest on my student loan..... for 2008-2009!! Bit late!? Anyway the interest was £500 (sum now approx £15k). Not a small amount by any means (more interest than I got on my ISA last year!) - going to start putting savings overspill into paying this off, maybe £2-3k per year.

I was in the old school loan system, and made my final payment in Feb or March of this year, my interest was actually negative, albeit very slightly, so the amount I had to pay back in the final year was less than the balance at the start of the year. Good eh.
