"Note: Please bear in mind that this topic encourages posters to give their opinions - i.e. they might disagree with you. "

My God. I've never visited mumsnet before but what a disclaimer.

In other news, there are some people in Britain who talk a bit funny and who are poor. - i.e. lock your doors at night...

FFS. I see what others mean now.

As for the post: it'll be interesting to read the responses.

I'm anticipating a post to appear from MRS MCTAVISH linking back to this thread.

You have never read the 'Am I being unreasonable' forum on Mumsnet? Really?

Women I know are embarassed for their own gender because of that forum.

Personally, I think it should be required reading for all 15 year old schoolboys in the country. Would save an awful lot of men an awful lot of grief if they read that forum before their 16th birthday.

Really? Isn't it all a bit self-selected anyway, sorta like the doom-mongers who post on here.

Hopefully the OP from Housepricecrash is getting the message that not all Mumsnetters are totally unaware of economics!!!!

Uh-oh, double-agent alert. She never said she was from HPC.

Something rotten in the State of Denmark.

Interesting to note that disability living allowance is talked about so often on mumsnet that it has its own acronym.

Hmmmmm.... looks like a website full of scroungers to me.

Faroutie, there's a lot of acronyms on there that I'm amazed they talk about so frequently.

As for POAS (Piss on a stick) do they need a pinned topic like our "Should I buy now or rent?", for MNers who feel a bit woosy in the mornings and are a bit late?
