Tory-Lib Dems Coalition Already Being Blamed For Redundancies

Recommended Posts

i will do all i can to overvoice anyone that says it's the tories/libs that are causing this and blame it on brown.

in fact, i'll be as bigoted as he was.

edit to say as a hard c*** i'll go as far as ironing someone out to get my point across, not that i'm that by nature but my contempt for labour and brown is so i won't be able to hold back.

Give the Libcons a chance!! We will soon all hate them as much as anything that went before.

As someone pointed out, Lib Dems = Whigs, Conservatives = Tories. Whigs + Tories = Whories.

I am a bit less negative. The coalition government is a test of what might happen if we got some sort of PR system. So far, I am impressed.

Me too. I think they're serious about trying to do the right thing, for the time being at least.

But it wasn't exactly a hard act to follow. Except in terms of what they've got to try and sort out.

I admit to being very late to the game when it comes to PR. I am starting to find the logic increasingly appealing.

A benefit that I now see of coalitions is that the tension and shifting balance of power between the partners as a result of more influential public opinion during the term of a government means that we are less likely to see abuses of power and a disregard of the will of the people than we tradtionally see under majority governments which are more likely to be formed under a FPTP system than under a PR system.

Shot down in flames of course, & maybe they're just a troll, but still PMSL!

'Some of the first victims of the Tory-Lib Dem government. There will be plenty more stories like this. If you voted for them, hang your head in shame'

Just some clown on an internet forum. Get over it!
