So What Do You Think Is Going On Here?

Recommended Posts

What do you guys make of this, I drive past this property most days on my way to work. It has been on the market a long time.

I just checked and it is on Rightmove twice (both listings look the same but slightly different)

The most intreging thing is the prices, one is on at offers around £1.4million the other asking for offers in excess of £775,000. That is a big gap in the price other than potentially being a mistake why would the do this?

"Nestled in around 30 acres of land" £1.4m

"Nestled in around 3.5 acres of land" £.77m

Detail...

(You will note I resisted the temptation to say Simples)

Photos taken 2007. Has it been on the market for all that time? They might be trying to sell it with and without the land. More options, greater chance of a sale.

Thanks, I missed the bit about hte land, that makes alot more sense now.

I drive past this place alot and I would not be surprised if it had been on the market since then, if anyhting I would have guessed longer.

But 800K is probably not too bad for what it is, I suppose the swimming pool will reduce the price somewhat - I was told that once years ago that in the wrong part of the country (or Scotland in general) swimming pools can be a hinderance to a sale as they are expensive to keep running and almost a liability

I suppose what they should do is get planning permission for the land.
