Thornton Heath

Can anyone give me some advice about Thornton Heath (the South Norwood side). Is it a decent area to live in also is there a high street with some decent shops?

Thanks

It's improved significantly in recent years and you will get more for your more here than if you bought in Croydon. There are also some good schools surprisingly if you needed it. There are also advance plans of extending the tube into this area. Over the last year prices have fallen significantly and in my opinion will continue to do so for the next year at least. Have a look put in very low offers and the vendors would have to think seriously about it. Good luck.

Had a look last week and it seems alright, I saw flats in the Beulah Road area, which seemed okay to me, but which is the best part of Thomton Heath? Also is is safe to walk around at night?
