All the signs say that it's crash time! Spain is defending the Euro to the death (of the Euro)! Angela Merkel is stalking Obama (3 calls so far)! Europe has lined up a slush fund of $645 Billion (enough to last until Wednesday at least)!

http://preview.bloomberg.com/news/2010-05-08/eu-finance-chiefs-race-to-ready-emergency-fund-before-asian-markets-open.html

This all adds up to a lot of stabilisation in the marketplace, but will it be enough?

£ is quoted at €1.147 on interchangefx. It closed Fri at €1.1592 so looks like it'll open down a bit tomorrow morning in London.

I can't find any Nikkei prices on-line, but it should be open now what with the time difference shouldn't it?

Looks like you got it right. Another 750bn of debt created and market rebounds. I would sell on the rebounds as a debt based recovery is not going to last.

As I said before, they will not allow the markets to crash... The farce will continue for another couple of years. Meanwhile, the gold has passed the £800 mark today...

It really is my belief that this ball just keeps getting kicked forward on to the next generations until the oil runs out.
