House Price Graphs

Recommended Posts

Has anyone done any research on previous house price corrections. Possibly as a log graph - and compared it to this one?.

I know lowrisk.com plotted a log graph of the 1920's stockmarket correction and compared it to the 1999/2000 Nasdaq - they both appeared to follow a very similar path.

On a seperate note can anyone remember back to the last house price correction whether there was a fall in retail sales, unemployment etc before significant house price falls - and how long the time lag was.

Look back at some of DrBubbs old posts. He has done some excellent work at comparing previous downturns to this one.

There have been some fantastic graphs from Riser, the best of which was pinned for some time but appears to have been moved now, although i bet it could be hunted down without too much bother. It would be worth the effort though, alot of work had been put in and the results are almost scary (if you actually owned a house), not so scary if your hoping to get on the ladder
