Tenants' Organisations

Recommended Posts

Does anybody know of any charities or other types of organisation that campaigns for tenants' welfare and rights? I wrote to the National Housing Federation but they directed me to the Housing Corporation, which is a public body sponsored by the ODPM - so this would be the left hand that runs the National Affordable Housing Programme while the right hand is giving the rich tax breaks to buy second homes in Cornwall - that makes sense! Anyway, this is not an organsiation that one can become a supporter of. Does anyone know of any. Maybe there just aren't any. Thought it would be a constructive way of thinking about housing for a couple of years until prices come down, that's all. Write some letters, sign some petitions, that sort of thing. Thanks for any advice.
