How Many Str's Vs Ftb Vs Oo's

Recommended Posts

So why include STR in your list. They're speculators.

The STR's I know personally did not sell to speculate,

So I assume that the same apply here in most cases.

Its still about owning a Home!

even if you BTL you still own a home don't you?

We are officially termed "Let-toBuy", which means we are buying but rent a property.

Not an option listed on the poll choices but not as uncommon as you might think.

If your employment requires that you live on-site or at a designated residence (e.g. armed forces, agriculture to name two) then you need to buy for the day that you are no longer employed.

:)

In some ways this is cool because we get to see things from both renter and mortgage payer's point of view.

I opted for OO in the poll

I'd rather get the make up of ppl with an interest in owning a home, not to speculate or look for investment in property

Fair enough. I voted STR (personal circumstance rather than investment choice).

Oh... are there any people that don't own their own house and yet have BTL properties? My aunt is one, but I fail to see the logic.

STR here but to be honest it was luck rather than any great insight by me. House fell through so we rented (well stayed with family actually). Then I realised what was happening and decided to sit and wait. Glad I did.
