Bucephalus
The Cambridge Evening News front page screams: "House prices drop by £3,000 in past month!" http://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/business/m...1b4c454b1ff.lpf I wonder what my colleagues ("Prices won't drop in Cambridge, there's too much demand from the university and the high tech sector") will have to say tomorrow. MrB
<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nice headline! Wonder how long before a mainstream tabloid has such a front page?
Red Baron
I no longer live there but Cambridge is my home town and it is an extremely odd and quirky market; over previous boom/bust cycles prices rose like a lift only to fall back by 30%. In the last crash houses in Hills Road near my old school, The Perse, could be bought for £200K or less. These are large detached homes, many of which will be priced close to £1 million (for now at least). Cambridge is also characterised by some of the country's snottiest EAs. Portent
Fantastic. One of the guys at my work lives in Cambridge. I regularly have the "prices will never fall" discussion with him. I'm lovin' it ! Edited August 15, 2005 by Portent
