MarkG
So, after yet again being 'sold subject to contract' a few weeks ago, the house across the road from where I work is back up for sale. That's the third time in a year that it's been 'sold' and yet failed to actually, really, physically sell... not too surprising when they're asking 300k for a house that would be worth about 120k in a rational world. SarahBell
Oddly one just up my street was on the market for about a week and the sign has disappeared... Far too quick to be sold I think!
MarkG
There are apparently some quick sales happening. Someone on one of the expats lists was saying they sold their house in one day recently: but it was to some friend of a friend with cash who wanted to BTL it. Of course they might pull out too if they realise prices are dropping now. Edited August 15, 2005 by MarkG

Over the last 6 months the For Sale and Sold signs have been going up and down faster than a Chavettes knickers. Quite amusing to watching driving past each day. Bizarre combiation. Is it to remind the drunken Chavette that when she sees her thong she knows its time to call a taxi home?
