Good News For Countrywide

Recommended Posts

Yet another triumph was reported for Countrywide this morning as

Christopher Sporborg confirmed that profits were "stabilising" as

expected.

"It has been a difficult time for the company but the situation has

been under-pinned by a stable economy," said Countrywide's

popular Chairman.

He added that profits had "settled" to a "stable level".

The Estate Agency's profits softened from £30.7 million to

£3.5 million.

"We have not seen any decrease in profits, and we do not expect

any," confirmed Mr Sporborg.

Guest Bart of Darkness

I wouldn't like it if my business was doing so "well".

I know they have to try and put a positive spin on things but good grief!

So now we know the true meaning of "softened" in estate agentese. Next time an EA tells you the market has softened, ask them if they really mean an 80% drop, especially if they work for Countrywide.
