Ftbs: We Pulled Out Of The Sale Two Weeks Ago.

Recommended Posts

Guest uberstuka

We pulled out of purchasing our first (dream) home a few weeks ago. Informing the vendors and the EA that this was because of the economic slowed-down, pending property slide and our FTB status. Stating that the house was indeed 30%+ over-valued in the current market.

We received an email and a phone call yesterday from said EA expressing:

`An earlier interested party has now found a cash buyer for their home [they were a part of continuously collapsing chain], and the vendors [of the property we had our eyes upon] have accepted their offer.'

Ok.

Erm.., and why are you telling us this?

Didn't we pull out of the sale altogether? Clearly expressing why?

Well.., there's still a FOR SALE board up outside, and the website STILL has the property listed.

I wonder what happens next?

Do you think they were doing this to gloat?

In other words "Well maybe you have seen the light but there are plenty more suckers that will pay us our estate agent fees!"

Phone up the estate agent - putting 141 in front of the number of course and put on a bit of a gruff voice and ask if its still for sale. :D

If this is the same EA you sent this letter to then maybe they just thought it polite to inform you of the outcome?

I would imagine Uberstuka may very well receive a further e-mail inviting him to join the Estate Agents as a trainee negotiator!

That will soon rid your brain of 30% overvalued brainwashing.

The true figure is nearer 40%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The very best of luck in your struggle, and you will WIN please believe me.
