Fed Rates Up

Recommended Posts

There's only 1% between UK and US rates now.

UK rates have only been above US rates for a couple of months over the last 50 years. It's possible that this could happen over the next 6 months.

The way I see it only 2 things can stop this 1. The US growth takes a dive and they stop raising rates or inflation takes off here and we start to raise them.

Likely?

I cannot see any other option over the medium/long term, couple that with energy prices and we are looking a cert for IR rise. This year has been interesting but next year looks even more so I dont see how the g,ment BoE can balance/fudge figures for much longer.......bring on the IR rise!
