Rent A Room, Typical Rules And Regs

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm thinking of letting a room in my house under the "Rent a room scheme". Is there anywhere that I can download a copy of a typical agreement with all the rules and regs in it. Like a tennancy agreement, only the lodger won't be a tennant.

Does anyone have an example, or anything they use which they don't mind sharing???

All help gratefully received.

There is.

Pop in to your local Tescos.

You are looking for the documentation that goes along the line Tenant with Owner in Occupation.

You can then describe the common areas, and the terms and conditions.

If you are in occupation they have very little rights should you no longer with them to stay. Remember 50 quid a week is free of tax, and you can offset expenses.

If they have a TV in their room they need a seperate TV license.

This is the company that make the forms

And Tesco's have them online and instore. In fact Tesco's are partners in Lawpack.
