FOREX-Euro breaks higher to 2-month peak vs dollar

LONDON, Aug 3 (Reuters) - The euro rose to its highest level in two months against the dollar on Wednesday after a break of key technical resistance around $1.2260 triggered broad-based dollar selling.

Chart-inspired trading dominated the market as a succession of strong U.S. economic data in recent sessions has failed to boost the dollar with investors seeing expectations for dollar-supportive U.S. interest rate hikes as already priced in.

Gold up $2.60 to $434.00.

I think the dollar's short lived rally is now over.

There are strong signs coming out of Japan and Europe (especially Germany still the world's largest exporter) boosting the Yen and Euro.

Now that the Chinese are no longer pegged to the dollar I reckon the Euro could do very well from here.

Gold is motoring too which is good!
