Central Manchester Btl Apartments

Recommended Posts

What are central Manchester BTL apartments like ? I think my primary concern is noise.

Is there much sound proofing from one flat to another ?

Do you hear outside traffic noise ?

Do you have drunken yobbos yelling their heads off late at night while you are trying to sleep ?

Would you live in one ?

I don't know the area but if you are worried about noise then find a flat built after 2003. The building regulations for soundproofing were beefed up that year.

EDIT the link above is for Manchester CT USA!

I live in central manchester (Deansgate Quay) and it's not too noisy. In fact the sound proofing is surprisingly good, I rarely hear any noise from surrounding flats.

Does depend where you live in the centre, I've heard other people complaining about traffic noise/pubs and clubs. A mate of mine was nearly soaked with water from an angry flat dweller on a mid week night out in the Northern Quarter.

Biggest problem is negotiating p1ss heads in the Peter street area.
