The Blairs Still Way Out In Front

Recommended Posts

The woman who can't sell her mother's house says: "From the point of view of selling her house, my mother died at just the wrong time."

Probably in jest but blimey it's getting brutal out there!! Presumably it would have been better, from the point of view of selling her house, if her monther had died 2 years earlier?!

Fantastic article!!! Ask yourself this, would you have seen such a bearish article about 2 months ago from the Torygraph? It personally is my favourite broadsheet, however, the constant bullish comments sometimes leave a sour taste in my mouth. This article however, not only slates the Nationwide and Halifax indicies (in disguised form of course) but also check this section out...

"Earlier in the year I had seen another house in the street, which unlike mine was in need of complete renovation, advertised for £625,000.

"I don't know what price they got, but I am sure the house sold. I thought I was being conservative in putting mine on at £610,000, but for the first 10 days I had no interest at all. Two weeks later I reduced the price to £580,000, and I had a trickle of people after that. But I have only had one offer, and that was from a developer for just £500,000. The market seems so slow at the moment. It is hard to know what has gone wrong. I am just fortunate in that I have already bought my next home, in Wimbledon and I am not in a chain."

If the developers are putting in offers 12.5% below initial asking, perhaps everyone should start to take suit?

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

(then again, is it any coincidence the MPC meet this week?)
