Is It Possible To Compare France To England?

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody,

My name's Philippe, I'm 24 and I live in Paris. I would like to know what are the prices of the houses in England. I always hear that England is more expensive than France but I have no ideas of the prices in your (very nice) country.

Could you say me how much is a small flat in a town like Portsmouth for example?

Thank you for your response and excuse my approximative english.

Friendly.

Phil

Yes, I see that the prices are very high. A flat which costed 100 in 1995 costs now about 300...

But the madness on the prices exists in France too. Sometimes I think it will never stop... It seems that the prices have stopped to progress in England but here the madness continues... I have a friend who lives in London and he thinks that now London is not too much more expensive than Paris. So what to do? Buying or waiting a little?

Yes, the web site of the excellent Jean-Michel Pouré. I'm of course a member of this forum.

I would like to know the reactions of people in England now with the prices which fall. Are the owners afraid? Are the buyers patient? Do people think that the prices will fall during a long time?

Having been immersed for too long in a world of French people trying and and failing to master English, I counsel that this person is not using Franglais and is therefore, I suggest, not French.
