Is The Land Reg Search Any Use?

They give you title stuff. Dont really know much about this, but if you suspect an Estate agent is being less than honest, or not disclosing information about a reposessed property they have on their books can you get mortgagee details through this and approach the mortgagee directly, cutting out the estate agent? Has anyone tried this?

Im not refering to an individual property atm but ive seen homes before go for far less than the asking price, and when ive enquired about the property, thats not the impression the EA gives. I suspect they may be buying the homes themselves or selling to friends, given there are often no homeowners to worry about to kick up a fuss. Especially given most EA's seem to jump at the chance of gazumping someone...you would think they would bite my hand off to get another offer.

This comment goes to show how little you understand about the issue of gazumping and EAs role within it.
