It is a website for married people looking for a bit on the side (not swinging) 80% of the women are over 40, most of them with pics are no oil paintings, but in almost every profile they state they want: over 6ft male dark-haired muscular or stocky male old-school romancer male (roses, high-class dining) At least 2-3 years older than them In some profiles they will only settle for all five. Maybe I am very naive (cue quips), but I suddenly had this Eureka moment: WOMEN ARE, IF ANYTHING, SHALLOWER THAN MEN WHEN IT COMES TO ATTRACTION. Or, maybe they are socially conditioned to go for a very very narrow set of characteristics, which if true is very depressing. Typical entry says 'my marriage doesn't have any sex in it, hubby just watches tv'. Well, darling, there may be a good reason for that. Sorry, rant mode off. This is natural as some peopel are embarassed to be using a dating sites, others such as Doctors of those in Law need to keep their information private... but a surprising number of those profiles with photos are people who are married. And then there are the ones who are married and who stick their photos up anyhow. I have heard of a woman who married just three years ago and, within 12 - 14 months, would occasionally stick up a profile on a vanilla dating site where she had met men before. Always a day or so after a 'romantic' diary event such as Valentines or her birthday... so, one assumes, the Valentine's Day was not as as expensive as she had hoped nor the birthday and, reverting to nature, up would go the profile on the dating site for a day or two... just long enough to get some attention and then it would disappear... only to return later... There are a lot of really good looking women on these sorts of websites and many have a lot going for them. There is one reason why this type of woman is there - she cannot get a grasp of what 'real' men are like (I accept many men make the same mistake about women). You come back to the site months later and the same women are moaning away about personality facts "nice men never message me", "why can't I find someone nice?" - laughable really.
